  • 6 slices bacon, chopped Crispy bacon adds a savory crunch and rich flavor.
  • 1 small onion, diced Onions bring sweetness and depth to the casserole.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Garlic enhances the overall taste with its aromatic qualities.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Essential for seasoning the meat and enhancing flavors.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Adds a mild kick to the dish.
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika This gives a smoky flavor that complements the beef.
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano Oregano adds a hint of earthiness.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Cream makes the casserole rich and creamy.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Cheddar provides that classic cheeseburger taste.
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened Cream cheese adds extra creaminess and richness.
  • 4 large eggs Eggs help bind the ingredients together.
  • 1 cup cauliflower rice (fresh or frozen) This is a great low-carb alternative to traditional rice.
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish) Green onions add a fresh touch and color.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Chop the bacon into small pieces, dice the onion, and mince the garlic. Prepare the cauliflower rice if using fresh.
  • In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove bacon and set aside, keeping the drippings.
  • Add ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until beef is browned and onion is translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Stir in salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and oregano into the beef mixture.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together heavy cream, cream cheese, and eggs until smooth. Add the beef mixture and cauliflower rice, stirring until combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread evenly and top with crispy bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until set and cheese is bubbly and golden. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
