  • 1 tablespoon water Used to thin the apricot preserves.
  • Flour for dusting Prevents the pastry from sticking.

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the puff pastry by lightly dusting your work surface with flour, unroll the thawed puff pastry sheet, and roll it out thinner. Cut into six equal strips, each about 2 inches wide.
  • Core and thinly slice the apples, drizzle with lemon juice, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, toss to coat, and microwave for 3 minutes to soften.
  • Spread a thin layer of apricot preserves on a pastry strip, overlap apple slices along one edge, fold the bottom half over the apples, and roll to form a rose. Place in a greased muffin tin.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F, bake the muffin tin with apple roses for 25-30 minutes until golden brown, cool slightly, and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
